Plugged In, Not Charging
I recently replaced my battery for my Dell Latitude 6520. After installing the new battery, the battery began to charge. It stopped charging when it reached 57% and the battery icon indicated battery plugged in, not charging. After researching this issue, I have tried various fixes noted in the Dell Forums. Incrementally, I have been able to get the battery to charge to 63% before it gives the plugged in, not charging status. I have update the BIOS and the adapter is recognized properly. I also uninstalled the Microsoft A/C Adapter and Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery (3 are listed) drivers, re-installed the drivers, and check for updates for any of those drivers. All drivers are up to date. To summarize:
1. Installed New Battery that Dell Battery Information displays Health as Excellent
2. A/C Adapter is recognized and will charge battery up to 63% (originally would only charge to 57%)
3. All Battery related Drivers are up to date
Any suggestions are appreciated.
