Poor startup performance after installing Chipset drivers

Hi all!

 

I have been a proud owner to a Dell 1700 Vostro since October and i'm sincerly happy with it except one little annoying issue.

 

Everytime after i made a clean install of Vista and installing chipset drivers (R153997) i get a 5-10 second delay when Vista is loading the systemtray, everything just stalls- Vista is still functioning and it's not a total delay- i can still open various programs and such but they won't start until the delay is over.

 

Note: Vista loads perfectly until you install the chipset drivers- and the Delay comes after the next reboot.

 

Can anyone help me with this ?  should i download the drivers  from Intel.com instead ?
