Poor video quality

Question

I am having difficulties when attempting to view and videos, either saved to my computer, or over the internet.  The latest driver I could find for me nvidia fx go5200 32mb, was 8/05. I have attempted everything I could think of, and still no fix has worked.  Is there a patch or driver that I need to find.  I am using a 5160. Do I just need to upgrade to a 64mb video card, or what do I need to do?

Unless the problem is with all video and graphics, it's unlikely hardware or driver in origin.

What program are you using? What type of videos? Have you cleaned the heatsink assembly of dust - this system runs very hot and dust can push it into severe slowdowns?

I mainly use iexplore, and windows media player.  If I have my computer turned off, then turn it on. A movie clip will play fine at full speed and quality for about 60 seconds, then it becomes choppy.  It even plays the same with videos I have saved to my computer.  I have updated all Flash Players, and Java.  Still just kinda annoying.

I read somewhere that ATI does video better than Nvidia.   After doing a side by side comparison, I found that ATI is better...with video. I was able to tweak the Nvidia GoForce 7900 but the video still looked better with the ATI X1400.
