power meter max 94%

While plugged in and running my Power Meter shows 94%.

(A couple days ago my battery discharged while plugged in and running. I rebooted and it charged up to and stopped at 94% on my Inspiron 5150 with Windows XP Pro.)

Is a 94% max normal?

thanks!

Are there any flashing LEDs on the battery (indicating failed cells)?

There are no LEDs on the battery*. (I expected to find LEDs based upon http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/document?c=us&cs=19&docid=7AA33E2DF2FC4A1FB64FE7C4260253DE&journalid=1264D6D1342A11DABC7FB3E9558F4E3B&l=en&s=dhs#en#us )

then per http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/tree?c=us&cs=19&journalid=1264D6D1342A11DABC7FB3E9558F4E3B&l=en&s=dhs&treeid=8D6EF73F9874488880A6CDD994900DD9#en#us
I left the laptop off for 30 minutes; now it IS at 100%

Many thanks for your reply,
Bill

my problem is similar. I have an Inspiron9300 and my battery charges up to 40% only.
can you please help me fix this?
A Dell Chat support had me update my BIOS but it did not resolve my problem.

All I know is what worked for me: turning off my computer for 30 minutes. If that doesn't work, those 2 links I posted have other stuff to try...

Good luck!
