Problem in Mother Board

Question

All of a sudden my inspiron 5160 refused to start!!! I sent it to Dell and they told me its mother board needs to be replaced..Then I was told that it can't be covered in warrenty because there was a water spillage on it.. I was really not convinced with that reasoning.. That was a bad experience with Dell.

umm, did you spill liquid on it or not?  fairly simple.  i'm not sure how you could be 'not really convinced.'   you either did or you didn't

I did not...I was working it for about 4 hours and all of a suddent pc freezed i.e i could not move mouse on it, keyboard stopped working.. When I shut the laptop down and tried to restart it.. I could not restart it. That is why I have said I was not convinced with the reasoning from dell that I spilled some liquid on the mother board..

I called several times but no use.. They kept on insisting that people who examined are experts and that is the final verdict. I had no option left but to pay $500 to get it repaired.  I am sure my next laptop will not be Dell
