Problem with Inspiron E1505 WON'T START - NEED HELP
This morning I woke up and saw liquid around my laptop, lifted it up and found a big puddle that smelled like rum and I obviously don't remember making it. Completely dried off the desk and wiped off the bottom of the laptop. Everything else, such as the keyboard, area around it, and the screen felt completely dry. Unplugged it and took out the battery. Came back hours later, turned it on, and it was working just fine until it suddenly shut off. Everytime after that, it shut off (or froze up) sooner and sooner until now it hardly powers on at all. It just turns on with the screen completely blank and flashes the caps lock and battery lights and spins the hard drive until powering off after less than a minute. Optical drive won't open. I assume the hard drive's okay, but is the rest of the system salvageable in any immediate way? I don't have Complete Care coverage or money to get it repaired professionally at the moment.
