problems with Dell Quickset
I have the Dell Quickset application loaded and the brightness moniter works fine, but the audio indicator does not work at all. Even the function buttons on the keyboard will not alter the volume level (the on-screen indicator will not change even when attempts to change volume on the keyboard are made). Are there certain drivers I need to reinstall to make the keyboard function keys for volume/mute to work?

The only way I can cchange audio volume on my laptop is to open the volume window from the task tray on my desktop. The keyboard shortcut (function keys) do nothing but display the volume indicator (Quickset application) -- but the volume does not change.
Hope this helps with the diagnostics...

It doesn't work with all applications on my inspiron 1100, for example MusicMatch. It does work with Windows Media Player and Sound Recorder. It yours won't work with any program at all you might try uninstalling/re-installing Quickset.

There are a lot of programs you should not try to install over ... I don't know about this one. Try uninstalling in the add/remove programs utility. Good luck.
