Problems with Dell XPS 10 Tablet
I bought a Dell XPS 10 tablet in September from my university's book store so I could do school work and take notes without having to haul around a laptop. So far, it seems decent enough. But I have 2 issues I finally can't stand anymore and need to ask about.
First, when I have the tablet docked and shut it like a laptop, most of the time, if I open it and try to use it, it's frozen. The screen is black and it will not respond to anything. I end up having to hold the power button to force it off, then turn it back on. This happens all the time and is really irritating. It has always done this, but it happens much more often since I updated RT to 8.1. Sometimes, on one of the few occasions that the tablet will work after I lift the lid, a small popup bubble on the bottom right hand corner of the screen on the desktop will be there and say something along the lines of "the display driver failed" or something, I'll have to write down the exact message next time this happens.
Another issue it always had since I bought it is an audio issue. When I plug headphones into the headphone jack, it will only play sound from one headphone. The other one will not make any sound. The headphones DO work, as I use them on my phone, iPod, and other decides. But no matter what I do, I can't seem to make this work. I've checked the driver, it says it's fine, I've tried updating the driver, nothing changes. What's wrong with it?
So far, I have nothing but regrets with wasting $400 on this piece of junk, but since I'm stuck with it, I'd like to try and make those issues stop. What is with the XPS 10? This is the second one I've had. The first one I bought didn't work RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. The store has a strict no return policy, but since I literally walked out and came back with an issue less than an hour later and techs looked at is and saw an obvious issue, they traded it for another one they had in stock. This is attempt number 2, and I was hoping it would be better...And way I can get this taken care of? Thanks!

There is a separate message board Mobile Devices.
This message board is for laptops not tablets.
