Processor Speed

Hi,

 

I have a Inspiron 6000, with a Celeron M 1.3 GHz Processor. I noticed when playing games my speed of the processor drops a lot.

 

I downloaded 'Intel Processor Identification Utility'. While I were playing a game the program reported my processor speed as 0.69GHz.

 

It is slightly impossible to play the game properly. I were wondering if there is a way to prove the speed, or would it be better to upgrade my processor (if its possible).
