question about network adapters

I have a dell precision m6400 700gb hd, 8gb ram.

I reinstalled windows 7 32bit  about 1 month ago from a iso I got from digital river a while back.

the reinstallation came with a wifi network adapter driver called "Intel(R) wifi link 5100 agn".

I guess it was preinstalled in the iso. and I currently have it installed on my pc.

I don't have problems with it, but I was wondering do I need to upgrade it?

should I keep the network adapter I have installed? or upgrade from 1 of these and which one(s) do I choose.

the links on this page: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/precision-m6400/drivers

show several network adapters like:

The link you have posted is for windows XP, 64 bits. You should change the operating system(OS) to windows 7, 32bits. As for the WIFI question, if you're getting good wifi then I like to suggest don't download any wifi drivers from the Dell link. However, if you're having problems then yes, download the necessary wifi driver.

    Hi,

From the sounds of your post it seems that your wireless connections are working fine.  In that case I wouldn't mess around with that adapter and simply leave it be.   If it isn't broke, don't fix it, right?

If I'm wrong, and you are having problems with your network connection please right click on my Dell Todd username and send me a private message with the Dell Service Tag of your m6400.  Please keep all discussions and troubleshooting here in this public thread so that others can see what we do to resolve this issue.
