Recovery discs
Hello.
My daughter's laptop is having issues and we need to send it off for repairs. We did not create recovery discs when we received it. I tried to back up her files--not sure if that was successful while trying to recover her system with the Dell backup & Recovery last week. I was not able to complete the recovery process. I just created recovery discs. How can I check to see if they are viable discs? The backup and recovery option I tried last week was not supposed to damage system files. I am wondering if the recovery discs I just created will recover her system or if I need to purchase a recovery disc from Dell. We will need to get her computer up and running as quickly as possible so I want to make sure I have recovery discs if they have to replace or reformat the hard drive. Help?
Thank you,
Cathy

I should mention that when I was creating the recovery discs just now, I did receive a message that they were created successfully. I was wondering if there was a way to check them to confirm that, and if The Backup & Recovery I did last week, would have removed any important system info or updates.
Thanks!

How old is this laptop? Was it preinstalled with Windows 10 or Upgraded to Windows 10. If so you can Download a Windows 10 TH2 .iso from Microsoft:
