I bought a brand new n5110 dell laptop a few days ago and today i saw a red pixel on the screen that wont go away, i think its a stuck pixel.
Is there any way to fix the red pixel?
Thanks.

sometimes you can run a series of colors to fix a stuck pixel but there are no guarantees.
Run this Video in full screen mode and set it to loop.

I used this program to cover the pixel http://udpix.free.fr/ for about 30 minutes and no result.
I tried to apply pressure with my finger over the area using a cloth and rubbing it.
I also tried with the tip of a pen and still no results.
The pixel is red if i put a black screensaver. What else can i do?
Thank you.

Hi,
If its a brand new system, then I suggest you call Dell for a replacement.
Dell Dead Pixel Policy: A display with 1 to 5 Dead or Stuck pixels is within the industry standards, and is therefore considered an acceptable display.
* 1 to 5 Dead or Stuck pixels spread out are within current standards and do NOT warrant a replacement
* 6 or more Dead or Stuck pixels anywhere warrants a replacement monitor
* 2 adjacent Dead or Stuck pixels warrants a replacement monitor with manager approval
* 1 Dead or Stuck pixel directly in the center warrants a replacement monitor with manager approval
You may return any Dell product, no questions asked, within 30 days from the invoice date. After that, you can only do a like for like exchange.
Hope this helps.
Thank you
