reset computer to factory settings

I just got a used notebook computer and it is not letting me log in or anything I don't even get a screen where I can log in. My computer info so far is BIOS version A07 1985-1999 it has Windows 2000 professional built on NT Technology.:emotion-6:

How can I get it to factory settings?  The person that give it to me didn't say anything at all. He only say that it was a slow notebook. Help please.

Welcome to the forums :emotion-21:

Sadly... that's one of the risks you take buying something 'unseen'.

Unless you received the OS disc with it - with which you might've been able to 'repair' the OS, you're pretty much snookered I'm afraid :emotion-6:

Other than returning it for a full refund, your ONLY hope, is getting hold of a Windows 2000 disc to boot from?
