screen fuzzy in screen capture tools

Hi,

I have an 8600 with the GeFoirce FX Go5200 graphics card.

 

I have been trying to get camtasia studio to work in screen capture mode for some demos etc.  However, no matter what I try the captured screens a fuzzy in .avi files.  If I convert them to .swf they clear up!!  I have done all the usual things of setting the screen back to 800x600 and not scaling it...(so that the screen is miniscule in the middle of the monitor) but no success yet.

 

I was wondering if anyone else out there had an 8600 with this graphics card and managed to get screen capture software like camtasia to capture the screen properly for pc based videos for demonstrations etc.
