Is the replacement screen much better than your previous one? I was also told that Dell has a new part number, Y274C, which is another Samsung. Dell has stopped using Samsung part number CM279, which is the screen that many have been complaining about.
Everyone said LG is a good screen, I have no objection to that. I myself needed that screen because I'm employed as a graphic artist. Some got it and some don't including me after 3 tries. I wonder is Dell doingsomething about this. They should make a statement on this or have a voluntary replacement for only those who wanted or needed a perfect screen badly. How am I to distinguished a grainy screen from a grainy high resolution image, impossible for the image...simple as that it defeats professional jobs like mine who loves a good system.
OK I just had my 1330 screen replaced due to a pixel defect. the Dell code for it is CX059 so who made it? It is the LED screen type and does end in 059 does that mean it is an LG??
I also received my replacement XPS M1530 and it still had the same flawed Samsung screen. I was under the impression that Dell was discontinuing use of the Samsung screen or atleast replacing the previous part number. This is bad news!
