screen scroll after reformat, not vey smooth

Question

hi, inspiron8200 running xp, just fitted a new HDD, reloaded all the software, but the screen scrolls like waves on a beach, sort of rolling over each other, the display is set to 1200x1600, but the slider is at its lowest setting, could someone please tell me what i need to do, to put it right..

hi steve, I am sure it was not that high, I will go and see what video drivers there are, now you have mentioned video, i was not sure if it came under that.......thanks

Do you have the latest video drivers? Was the screen set to 1200X1600 before you formatted it?
