Start-up Problem

Hello,
I have a inspiron 1100 laptop. I have recently had some malfunctioning parts replaced last month, but just last weekend I tried to turn my computer on and no response. The only thing that happens is the power light blinks continously. I tried to call the Tech Support and they told me that they couldn't help me anymore becuase of my warranty expired 4/19. I tried to order the extended warranty but without any luck. Im basically out of luck and trying to spend as little money as i can.

The exact same thing has happened to me. Anybody have any clues short of spending $$$ for a new battery?

If it's just the battery (in which case the system works on AC power), $100.

If it's the mainboard, $500+.

PS>When i remove the battery and try to turn on the computer using the AC Adapter, the same blinking led light happens.
