Studio 14z fan noise
My brand new studio 14z makes an irritating continous low-speed fan noise. As I usually work in a quiet room where my wife is sleeping next to me, I am considering returning it back unless some one has a suggestion on how to fix this problem. It should be something that doesn't break the warranty agreement :).
Configuration: Processor - P8700; RAM - 3G; Display 720p.
If there is no other way to solve this fan noise, it would be great if any one can suggust me a non-atom (used 10v and not impressed by its processor), very quiet sub $1000 laptops for my use.

I returned mine and traded power for quietness and got a Vostro V13. I absolutely love my laptop. Should I also mention I saved 40% in the process? :)

Yes i just bought one a xps 14z and the fan is loud and irritating and runs al the time , I am considering returning this and getting a quiet laptop although i will miss the lighted keyboard
