studio1558 display wont work
Hi. My Studio 1558 screen went fuzzy, vertical hazy stripes, isometric lines from a corner a few times and then lost display altogether. Had the blue display driver screen a few times too. Then could eventually get it going. But now it wont. It wont work on an external screen either. What do I do? Can I take the HDD out and buy another laptop and put it in that? Would that be less painful and more reliable?

Welcome to the Community.
Putting the Hard drive on another system may not work properly.
Unplug the adapter and the battery. Press and hold power button for 20 seconds. Perform a System Diagnostics. To launch diagnostics, press and hold “Fn” key while turning on the system. Hold it down until the diagnostic starts. For more information click the link mentioned below:

Wait for system to produce the beep sound which may help troubleshoot the issue.
As you mentioned that the system does not work with external display as well, it seems to be an issue with the system board.
