Subwoofer VISTA???

I can not see anymore the subwoofer in the Volume Mixer. Under XP it was there but under Vista I don't see it anymore. I believe that I installed the necessary sound drivers or?

Go to the Dell service website and input your service tag to get updated drivers for Vista.

I've already installed the sigmatel driver for Vista.

LOL VMBieg :) Thank you very much for your reply. I just found out that the sigmatel are worthless, and you state it again. You could tell it to me 2 weeks ago, before I installed them :) I lost 1 day of my life, figuring out why the music in WMP11 make strange noises at the end. And at the end I came with uninstalling the sigmatel driver. :) I will wait, I think we all well wait, but I hope the new driver is coming soon, because I want to switch on my sub woofer - I paid for it and I want to see it working :)

VISTA drivers for sigmatel are worthless!!

You need to wait for better drivers. The ball is in dell's court. Sigmatell does not issue reference drivers. It is up the maker of the computer to supply them.

There is no workaround that i know of yet.

Also the builtin HD audio driver in vista is the best driver right now, not the dell sigmatel drivers.

:smileywink:........  I use external speakers when not out with my laptop. That is the workaround for me.
