Synaptics Touchpad Scrolling Issues
I have an XPS14, less than a year old, that seems to have developed an issue with the touchpad. Basically the scroll function intermittently stops working for a while then (seemingly) randomly comes back. I thought at first that it was when I visit certain websites (i'm still not sure this isn't the case) but if it is I can't see any pattern. Equally I can't see any pattern to how or when it returns (if I want it to return straight away I have to restart the machine.) As you can imagine, it's really annoying.
I don't even know if it's a software or hardware issue (every other touchpad function seems to work fine.) I've tried reinstalling the driver but it hasn't helped.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Swinter1,
Welcome to the Community. I suggest you uninstall the touchpad driver and reinstall it using the below link. To uninstall, click on start, right click on computer, click on properties, click on device manager, click on the symbol next to pointing devices, right click on Synaptics touchpad and click on uninstall. Once its removed click on the below link to reinstall it.
Hope this helps.
Thank you
