System standby failed HELP
Whenever I hit the "Fn Suspend" keys to suspend my system I get this message:
The device driver for the 'Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard' device is preventing the machine from entering standby. Please close all applications and try again. If the problem persists, you may need to update this driver.
I have closed all apps and tried again... still get the message. I then set it to go into standby when I closed the lid, I then closed the lid and when I opened it again the video was COMPLETELY messed up and warped and flashing on and off and I couldnt do anything. I restarted the system and everything was fine but I then downloaded the latest video driver just to be sure.
Anyway I'm still getting that error message at the beginning of my post when I want to standby so my question is, if I need a driver why did this just start happening? Also, i do not see this driver listed in the download section of the dell site so where would I get it from? And If I'm really missunderstanding something feel free to chime in as well
Need some help, Im really ignorant here
Grump

as I said before I cant fine that driver... at least not on the dell website. I just dont understand why I would even need it especially since Ive never used an ext keyboard with it.
If you could tell me where I could find it I'd appreciate it though

Those sound like the 5150 bios revisions, after A22 you can directly upgrade to any subsequent bios's, without upgrading to the interval revisions. However, from reading some posts, I would stay away from A31. I run A29 on my 5150 with no problems.

ok so then your saying that since the system came with the A25 BIOS I can just run the A29 one right, and not go through all of the other ones before 29?
Just making sure. I'm a little on the ignorant side

Thanks.
I really do hope thats it though. Cus it was working quite fine and then "poof" it wasnt. Didnt think things like that happened unless you were using new hardware devices or some kinda new software even... oh well. Thanks a bunch.
