Touchpad rub marks on Latitudes

Question

Is there any way to rub these marks out on the screen. They can be seen when the laptop is off. I have tried ArmourAll but they are still noticable. What about CD-Rom polishing compound? Any ideas?

Do you mean the computer monitor or the touchpad? To clean the monitor try using cotton and rubbing alcohol. Don't use glass cleaners like Windex because they aren't meant for laptop screens.

No this are not dirt or oil. These are rub marks like a scuff on a car. I bought over 100 of these laptops with the same touchpad marks on them. Don't tell me about cleaning them. I am an expert on that.

You put ArmourAll on an LCD screen?

Yes I did and then cleaned it with combo vinegar and h20. Didn't do anything. I used ACL's Staticide CD Scratch Repair Kit and it came out a little better but it's still there. Monkey

EVERY C series Latitude has that problem - just take a look at the descriptions for the used/refurb'd C600/C610/C640 units on eBay.  I guess they can't make those rubber feet on the display bezel big enough (!)
