TrueLife, or not?

Hey all, glad to see a true DELL forum!

I am about to order the 6400, it will be for college, and it seems perfect..however, I am unsure whether to get the truelife, I have heard it is too reflective, and not very good..

Could someone post pics maybe, or post comments about truelife? Thanks..

James

Your best bet is to look at a non-coated screen on another notebook and judge that way.

Just about any store selling notebooks will have some shiny-screen models - Sony calls it XBrite, others use different names.

James,

The truelife is a good upgrade. It depends on how you have the screen.

TrueLife is reflective for a reason. It makes your screen's brightness MUCH more visible! If you're in a bright area, you can see MUCH easier with TrueLife. And it also increases your viewing angles. I love having it on my screen.
