Unexpected shutdown, Need help!
Hi,
I have the Dell new inspiron 15R core-i7 laptop that I purchased 3 months ago. When I open the dell support center I see the error of critical error i.e.unexpected System shutdown in the System history tab. I actually didn't experience a shutdown while working. The critical error icon appears approximately 3-4 times a month. One of the error describes" Event name : BEX " another describes "Event name :APPCRASH" & "Event name :CLR20r3". If you need any other information I can give you. Kindly help me on this.
Regards,
ABDUL REHMAN

Hi Abdul Rehman,
This may happen if any application crashed in the system due to .net frame work, you can go ahead and uninstall the .net frame work from the system and re-install it. Please follow the steps below to uninstall the .net frame work.
Start > in search box type in programs and features > select the .net frame work right click on it and click on uninstall. Restart the computer and re-install the .net frame work in the system. Please use the link to download the .net frame work.

You can also run the PSA hardware diagnostics to check the hardware is working as designed. Please refer to the link below and run the test.

Thanks for the reply. But when I open the program and features, there are two programs namely "Microsoft .Net framework 4 Client profile" & "Microsoft .Net framework 4 Extended". Which am I supposed to uninstall or should I uninstall both?

Hi Abdul Rehman,
You can go ahead and uninstall both the .net frame work from the system, restart the laptop and re-install the .net frame work; I have given the link in the previous post.
