USB Power Management

Is there a way to configure my USB ports on my Latitude D520 to continue to power (recharge) my peripherals during standby and hibernate?

I'm not sure if that's a setting or a hardware feature of those "standby" modes, but you can try the following:

Open the Control Panel and double-click the "System" icon.
Click the "Hardware" tab and click the "Device Manager" button.
At the bottom of the list, click the "+" next to USB controllers.
Double-click each "USB Root Hub" device listed, click the "Power Management" tab, and uncheck the box to "Allow the computer to turn off."

Man... Thanks.  I knew it had to be in there somewhere.

johncml,

This setting should help for standby at the cost of battery life.  It will not help with hibernate, or when the system is turned off, and I know of no way to enable it for those states.
