Using the system for the first time

Hello,

I bought XPS L701X a month ago. When I run the laptop for the first time, I did not connect the AC adapter. Later, I noticed an instruction in the cover of the laptop. It was saying "Connect the AC adapter before using your system for the first time". Does it make a problem for the next use? the Hardware needed pure electricty?

Also, my laptop makes a creaking/squeaking noise. Now I think this is due to not connecting the AC adapter for the first time. Furthermore, when I play games for 2 hours, i get an error about sgraphics card something like that. Thanks in advance..

I'm sure you have since connected the adapter. No harm done. You should connect the adapter first thing to charge the battery. Batteries are never sent fully charged, so they need charging immediately. Lithium batteries should not be allowed to run down to empty. The creaking noise has no relationship to the adapter. You might want to ask Dell Support about that. You'll have to post the exact graphics error for help with that or contact Dell Support about that too. This is a user to user forum.
