Vostro 1520 Bluetooth hardware or driver installed?

I am trying to determine if I have bluetooth chip or driver installed. I am running Vista Home Basic 32bit and Control Panel->Bluetooth Devices does not allow me to do anything with Bluetooth (e.g. doesn't allow my laptop to be discoverable etc.) I get an error message saying that "Discoverability and Connection settings" were not saved.

In my system configuration on Dell's website I see the following quantity/parts/description. From this I gather that I have the H/W installed but not the driver. But if I download the latest driver and try to install it, I get an error saying "please uninstall current bluetooth software". Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.
