waves maxx audio 4
Good morning,
i have bought a 15R (5521) with the waves maxx audio 4. I work also with external loudspeakers 2.1 from Logitech.
I have the following problem:
Always when i restart my notebook i must take off the cable for the external loudspeakers, because otherwise i have no sound.
When i take off and put in the cable, a popup-window appears with the connection info. i must switch to loudspeakers and the sound runs.
How i can make it, that the program make it automatically?
thanks for your answers.
Stefan

Hello Stefan,
I would suggest a clean re-installation of the audio drivers. That is, uninstalling and re-installing the audio drivers:
Hope this helps!

Hi Allan,
thank you for your answer.
I have it made - the result is the same. BUT i have found another issue to solve it without take off and put in the cable:
When you make a double-click under the loudspeaker-icon from Waves Maxxaudio 4 and go to "extended", "Connection Info" and
change the Headset to loudspeaker - it runs.
I think, the error / problem has to do with the one jack for Headset / microphone. Tomorrow i will buy an adaptor for this to change the
one jack to two - separated for microphone and headset. May be, this is the solution.......
Let´s see - i will give you a comment.
Thanks again
Stefan

Excuse me Allan, but i have tried to buy on the weekend the cable / adapter but without any success.
I am living here in Mexico and it looks like, that it´s very difficult to buy this kind of cable......
I am searching for other shops. Gives it a possibility to buy it directely from DELL???
Greetings
Stefan

Hi Stefan. I don't know if the cable/adapter you are searching for will solve your problem, but I can provide some other information about it. Dell does not sell it. Search for it under the name Headset Buddy. Here is a picture of it. Notice the 4 segmented plug -- that is what you need.
There is another Headset Buddy model that has a 3 segmented plug -- don't get it. Picture below of the WRONG one:

Hello Stefan,
I apologize for the inconvenience. As Jimco said, this cable is unavailable with us. However, you can find them at Amazon.
