What happened to this thread?

I would guess they ran out of answers or there is no answer at this time. I didn't read the entire thread, little busy at this time. However, can you bring us up to speed a bit as to the current situation? Maybe we can shed some new light on it.

In October of last year Blu-Ray changed the way that they authored their DVDs and all of us with Blu-Ray drives were unable to play the new discs.  Everyone thought that a firmware upgrade was needed because that's how Sony made the same discs work in the same Blu-Ray drives.  Dell said, "no what is needed is a software upgrade" and provided one a few months later and had everyone get the new drivers for the video card.  This solution worked for most of the people, but for some of us the movies are unplayable (in a new way).  They used to play all green and now they just start and stop in regular color...  I'd been replying to the old thread, but just noticed that when I do it doesn't appear here on the list (it's invisible I guess).

Threads don't move here like on other forums when a new reply happens. As for your issue I honestly wasn't aware, I don't own a blu-ray at this point. I'll look into it when I have time.

I just checked and there appears that another update for the software came out and I downloaded it and the disc I was having the most problems with is working now...  so I guess that I'm set to travel with my movies...  or at least I hope I am!!  I'll go to the original thread and post that there is a new update so anyone else with problems will know...
