Which Version of Webcam software
Does any one know the difference between Webcam Central 1_4 Ver 2 dated 09/21/2009 and Dell Webcam Central (Consumer) Ver 1.4 dated 11/20/2009. I am offered both versions for download from my Dell Downloads page. Which version should I install after a clean install of Win 7 pro 64bit

techifan,
I installed it using the factory disks. If it doesn't install, then download the webcam drivers under input devices and install them in the compatibility mode. I have vesion 1.01.05 on my Dell Studio Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit system.
Right click on the drivers file, left click properties, left click compatibility. Change the compatibility to Vista. Then right click on the drivers, left click run as administrator.

Ummm, confusing post for 2 reasons:
1. I just bought a Studio XPS 1645 Win 7 Pro x64, and according to the invoice it shipped with:
421-10101Dell Webcam Central v1.4
And guess what, it works awesome!
2. You supposedly have the exact same setup as me, so you should know this.
As far as Webcam Central 1_4 version 2.0 versus Webcam Central (Consumer) version 1.4, I see the same thing in my download center, and it would be great if Dell would clear up the ambiguity...

Hey while I'm here...is it possible to combine the visual and audio effects at the same time? I apply visual effect, but then when I switch over to audio effects, my visual effects are removed. Why can't we do both?
