pranitaC,
Using a Dell OEM operating system disk, you usually do not need a product key. If you have a product key, under the battery compartment, then go to
Start, control panel, system. I think there you can enter your product key number.

See my wiki list link below. In particular look at the Microsoft Downloads wiki and A Clean install of Windows 7/Windows Vista.
Get the correct .iso and use your product key with it.
dear Rick
thanks for your detail help but as you said in your last repaly that i will found the change key option
but in my lap i do not find such things it mention windows activated : product key xxxx OEM xxx cxxxx like this ( example) is coming & no option chage the key
the biggest draw back is that dell has not supplied the win 7 media along with lap & they know taht i paid for the license copy of it
pl. help if you can suggest how to change it
rather than reinstalling it again

I'm not sure (this has never happened to me)...
As I do not know where you got your media from; I was assuming that maybe you have downloaded a dodgy/cracked version from a torrent or something.
Therefore the best course of action would be a clean install with legitimate media. It will likely be more secure also.
i still having problem with my laptop coz when i indtall win 7 & useing it one day without power & i ws not alert and my battery power exhaust & laptop shut down , now when ever i start laptop it says lauch start up repair 2) start windows normally i fed up with tis dell laptop

Vijay,
A Dell computer can reinstall the operating system that came installed on it. Using a Dell OEM disk, the computer will install the system WITHOUT asking for a product key.
There was a period where Dell offered Windows 7 upgrades, from Vista. The upgrades had a product key that you used. The product key could only be used once, and then it was not good on any other computer.
If you need a Dell OEM Operating system disk, if in the United States, Request Backup Disks USA If in another Country, contact Dell Tech Support in your Country.
