Windows 7 going on an infinite boot
Hi . I'm using DELL Inspiron N5050 and it worked really fine till this evening. But now it is not booting at all.DELL boot up page is repeating (Even Windows Boot animation is not coming).I tried resolving this problem by using Boot options where I chose Hard Drive(hope I have a problem with harddrive) and even now it is not resolved. I'm trying DELL Diagnostics tool which is now in progress(It shows a tick mark against all hardwares but it has not marked Hard drive, but it is not yet complete.I have used two operating Systems(1)Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 2)Windows 7 Professional 32 bit) . But do not know above would cause a problem. Also I had issues with virus too. I have very important files which I cant afford to lose and I need to get it repaired as soon as possible. Do help to sort out this problem . Thanks in advance.

Hi Rajagopalsrinivasan,
Please share the result of the diagnostics. You can try the following steps and see if it works:
Drain the residual power from the laptop:
If the diagnostics pass without any error, then try booting to safe mode and check if the system boots to the desktop:
If the system works in safe mode, perform system restore.
If system restore fails, I would advice you to take a complete back of the system and re-install the operating system. You may have to contact a local technician for data backup.
Note: The above mentioned troubleshooting steps are only applicable to bring the computer from non working state to working state and does not include virus removal.
Please reply if you have any questions.
