Windows XP rotated 90 degrees!

Question

This is one of the most bizarre episodes I have ever run into.  Right now the Windows XP software has been turned 90 degrees, and I spent a fair amount of time looking for an answer to resolve it.  With all of the troubleshooting research, it appears that there is not a readily available answer.  Does anyone have an idea about how to rotate it back?  When I type it is easy given that I do not need to look at the screen, but bouncing around all of the software listed in it makes it a bit foolish.  Everything appears to be working normally, but every time I restart it  the same error occurs again.     How do I correct this?

look under display properties>settings>advanced and you should see a rotate tab which allows you to rotate your screen.

on some models with on-board video you have to click on the intel tab in advanced to get to the rotation tab.

And if you want a quick way of rotating it try pressing Ctrl+Alt+Up arrow. If you want to freak out your co-workers press Ctrl+Alt+Dn arrow sometime when they're away from the desk. It turns the display completely upside-down.

Jeff I believe that will only work if you have enabled the hotkeys in the rotation page.

The Ctrl-Alt-Arrow key trick rotates our displays here at work and the IT guys are pretty tight on changing anything from the default so I don't think they enabled any hotkeys. Also, it works on my home PC and I know I didn't enable them. I don't know if the default setting has them on.
