wireless mouse? any good?
I'm looking to purchase a wireless mouse to hopefully free up the clutter on my desk. By free up the clutter I mean no wires at all, no ac adapters, no things coming out of my usb ports with little receivers on them........I'll deal with a little 1 inch long thing that plugs directly into my USB port and a mouse that uses like batteries or somethin......also it can't interfere with my wireless network (wireless B) and it has to work well.............anyone kno where I can find such a mouse?

check out the Logitech Cordless Mouse for Laptops one.. it looks like it can do everything that you need it to do.. it is a small dongle thingy that hangs out of your usb port, but there is no wire.. check it out at logitech's main site.

I use the Targus Wireless Optical Notebook Mouse which has NO wires whatsoever. It's a bit smaller than a regular mouse, but it's great if you want to eliminate wires. Check it out at:

I am using the new Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse with the USB Xmitter/receiver (size of a Thumb-Drive). The mouse is SUPERB and tracks beautifully. I have used it as far as 5 feet from the computer without trouble. Logitech quality is certainly involved here. Ulike the poor performance and feel of the Kensington wireless mouse - this one is a solid 9.5 out of 10. It would have a full 10 if it were not for the fear I always have of snapping the USB dongle off as it is plugged into the back of the notebook... Also the Logitech has an on/off switch on the base - unlike the Kensington unit. I have seen the Kensington wireless locally for $29 now - it would appear that they are trying to unload them. I paid $39.95 for the Logitech at Best Buy.

I use the Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks. The tracking is great and I love the fact that there is an On/Off switch on the underside of the mouse to conserve battery power. The USB receiver is small.

I have to agree with Big-Foot: the Kensington pro wireless mouse is bad. I have it; it tracks poorly and stutters.
