Wireless problems with my Inspiron 6000

Hi, this is the first time im posting  so thanks for looking... The problem is my wireless on my Inspiron 6000, it was working fine a few days ago but now it does not connect at all like it used to. The WIFI light comes on as i start the laptop then switches off when the desktop has loaded. I've tried pressing Fn + F2 to switch it on again which it does for a few seconds ( about 20-30 seconds) then the light goes off again but it still won't connect. I know its not my router because i can connect to the internet from my pc. i am using a Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection if that helps. Can anyone suggest anything?

OK

As I understand you have test your book with wifi outside of your router network and it works fine. (?)

please give me details of your router.

Hi, i got it checked out with Pc World and it worked there. The wifi light stayed on aswell but i've tried it again back home and its still the same. It finds all the networks around the neighbourhood including mine but i just can't seem to connect to it. The wifi light keeps switching off everytime i put it on. any ideas?????

Hi, First of all are you this ruoter admin? If no - ask router (not your WiFi card inside of book, becuase here is you are admin :-) ) admin about usage of router. It could be activated MAC filter. If this router is yours - will go ahead with your information (can use my private e-mail avs@aps.lv)

OK Sorry! ;-) Could you try to remove INTEL software (SOFTWARE ONLY, LEAVE DRIVERS)? Because I think now on book you have two progs to use WiFi: Intel PRO/SET and Windows WIFI

ok

go to windows control panel,
> Add/Remove hardware > Intel PRO/... > Remove
after that shall start Intel installation programm and could choose not remove but "change" option
> you have a choice of installation option, you must mark with red cross all exclude drivers

Or you can download from Intel support site fresh driver (there is a driver only download), uninstall from your book intel software completely and after install driver for youe card
