Wkscal.exe -entry point not found--WHAT????
Hi there,
I've got a message that pops up every time I start up my laptop.
SPRINGFLD_ADV_DAEMON:WksCal.exe -entry point not found.
The procedure entry point GetIUMS could not be located in the dynamic link library MSDART.DLL.
I haven't a clue what's going on. When I close the notice, the computer seems to run normally anyway, so does it matter? If anyone could translate what it means (in English please!) or what it does could you share your knowledge with me. It's just annoying having to close it everytime I start up. One more point, When I try to enable my firewall, I can't. When I click on the properties that should allow me to enable it, the properties won't display. It's AOL and they say the problem lies with Dell. All the other isp's do it without any problem but for AOL the access to properties seems inhibited.
Any help or oppinions welcomed
Inspiron 5150, XP Home edition.
Cheers, Jim.

Cheers Ed C,
I should have really used the google search to start with, however as I'm sure you'll know, it'll come up with 2 million or so results and probably take ages to find the problem!!

If you do a google search you will come up with a lot of hits on Wkscal.exe, It has something to do with MSWorks and the ?MSDart.dll? file. It seems to happen to people/PCs that don't even have Works installed and on a fresh install of the OS.
As to AOL. If you are still on dialup AOL uses there own dialer so the Windows XP firewall doesn't work on it.

Thank's Ed C, for your reply.
I have ad-aware spyware to delete the spyware and Norton Anti-virus to protect my computer. I know that norton has let a few things through in the past so maybe there is something there. It seemed to occur after I reinstalled windows xp for some reason.
Any ideas on why I can't apply the firewall on AOL?
Cheers,
J.McF.
