Won't let me install apps
I am on my son's desktop( I am the administrator). I am trying to install his apps and it keeps saying to change the group setting... I go back to my desktop under "control panel" and "user accounts" but I can't find anything that changes "group settings". Help!!

In order to assist you further in a better way, please help me understand what is the Operating System installed on the computer and what are the apps you are trying to install.

Hello Allan,
It is Windows 8. I bought the computer brand new for my kids for Christmas. I set it all up and all was fine and then my son said that he lost all his " apps". I am new to Windows 8 and went to the store where it informed me that I had 21 updates. When I tried to install all of the updates each one said" could not update". I clicked on it and it said" administrator( who I assume is me) must change group settings. I am assuming that after I update the " apps" they would be back on his " app" page. I don't know if he messed with a setting but I had everything set up just fine and all was working well. I am new to Windows 8 so I hope I am using the correct terminology. This is the best way I can explain it.

Hello Jdinwiddie,
Thank you for replying. By the issue description, I understand that the updates are not getting installed because it needs administrators permission. Hence I would like to know, how many user account does this computer have.
In case you have a different administrator account other than the one you are logged in, I would suggest you to log in to the administrator account and try installing the updates and check the functionality.

Hello Allan.
There are three user accounts. I am the administrator. I even tried setting up my son to have an admistrator account. It just waon't allow the apps to be updated on his " desktop". Please advise further. Thanks.
