won't power on
i have a dell inspiron 1000.
last wk. it worked ok, tried to power on today nothing,
i checked the power cord & it is all connected
does any 1 know what i can do, i'm out of business till i can correct this.

Ac outlet bad or breaker tripped
Power cord bad
Battery bad
system board bad
Do you hear the fan?
Do you see any lights?
Do you see a small light in the power cord "brick"?
Or is it just cold, silent and completely dead?
If it is under warranty, call Dell. Once they are sure the notebook needs to be serviced, the turn around time is about 3 days. DHL picks it up and puts it in a box for you, slaps a label on it and ships it.
