Hi
I heard a lot about the WUXGA Display .
I heard people saying that everything is so small on the WUXGA and that this People are not happy with it .
And then a lot of People say they just love the WUXGA its the best Display ...
So how is your experience with the WUXGA Display ?
Would you say its better to order the WSXGA ?
Why would you say the WUXGA is better ??
I m going to order the Dell M60 !
Thanks hope to read your Review about WUXGA !

however, it all comes down to preference.. some people are comfortable with looking at small text, others prefer that it be larger.. a good idea to see if the wuxga screen is right for you, is to head over to your local computer store and check one of those screens out.. you'll be amazed at how beautiful everything looks.. however, make sure that you are comfortable with the way things look.

i personally have the wsxga screen and i wear glasses.. however, i don't wear them when i use the computer.. i find that i can see my screen perfectly at the normal distance with default windows settings.. nothing is really too small that i can't read it.. i find that it's just a good overall size..
i guess that it all depends on how bad your eyesight is.. i would still suggest that you check out your local computer store to get a feel of how the wuxga screen looks like.

I agree with the rest of this group. It boils down to your own preferences. You should go to your local BestBuy or Circut City and look first...then make the choice for yourself. I really like my i8600 with the WUXGA Sharp LCD and glad I ordered it over the WSXGA. I wear contacts most of the time and use reading glasses to work with the 8600 in Photoshop and using it to map out routes for a Search and Rescue team that I belong to. DVD's also look fantastic! My 2 cents..
Good luck in any direction you go!

Although it really does come down to personal preference, I think the appropriateness of screen resolution, specifically the WUXGA vs WSXGA+, depends upon your use of the notebook PC. Concensus is certainly that the WUXGA is gorgous in displaying graphics and photo images; it's extremely sharp. However, there are a multitude of text-heavy environments that will not accommodate text or font enlargement settings for all features, and within WUXGA can be quite small to read. Many i8600 owners/users who devote an abundance of time using their notebook PCs for text-based activities, such as email and MS WORD composition of documents and letters, have posted their preference for the larger text, font, icon, symbol sizes provided by WSXGA+. But note that the graphics and photo images displayed on the WSXGA+ are also very, very sharp and clear.
You just have to weigh the cost difference in relation to the appropriateness of the resolution feature to your predominant computing tasks. If you're a heavy "gamer" or dvd-watcher for which your i8600 is mostly used, probably go with the WUXGA. If you are an "office-applications" user for which your i8600 will mostly be used, probably go with the WSXGA+. To whatever extent digital photography and video editing come into the mix of your usage, either resolution will be fine (because so much of the displayed image quality will be contingent upon the origin resolution as determined by both the hardware limits and user settings of the camera/camcorder).
