xps 14z without case
Hi,
i had a rather serious accident with my xps 14z which resulted in the screen and most of the actual case being ruined.
it still powers on, but is useless as is.
given its specs perfectly suited to a media pc, id like to salvage it somehow.
I've pulled the whole thing apart, stripped down to just the mb, hdd, wifi and ram. Kept the power button board hooked up obviously. it powers up but nothing is displayed through hdmi connection.
Im wondering if there are additional components that need to be plugged in to the mb to enable it to boot properly?
thanks.

The system won't POST without a screen attached -- you must have a screen the system can recognize.

You need a screen that's supported by the system (notebooks work only with those screens they're shipped with from the factory -- other screens won't be recognized).

No, there isn't.
