XPS 15

I ordered an XPS 15 online the beginning of March, with an estimated delivery date on or before the 25th of March.

Guess what, it didn't happen, but it took 4 phone calls to Dell for me to find out there is a massive backlog in the

production of the XPS 15........... On the website it still says 5 days for delivery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very poor service. I have been a long term customer of Dell. Order now cancelled, how difficult is it to be let

customers know there is production delays.

Dell customer service rang me on the back of this posting, and told me that if I re-ordered the XPS 15, they would guarantee delivery on the 4th of April. I received 2 emails from one of their sales team confirming this delivery date. Foolishly I believed this promise and placed the order. Checking online yesterday, it showed the status of my new order as only being in production. I then emailed the particular sales person who sent me the email, and was sent an automatic reply giving me an alternative sales persons email address to contact, which I did. They told me that this new order would not be delivered before the 11th of April.

This shows a blatant disregard for the customers, by not giving the customer correct information, miss-leading them, and not showing a common courtesy of keeping them updated. It would seem the sole objective is to make the sale as whatever cost, and tell the customer whatever they think he or she may want to hear. I've been a customer of Dell's since the first started selling laptops online, and currently have three laptops in use. This whole episode has left a very bad taste in my mouth, and it will be the last dealing I have with Dell.
