XPS A06 Bios
Someone scr*wed up.
There's a new bios for the Inspiron XPS, A06, as of 3/10/05, but neither HTTP nor FTP URLs resolve to anything.
Looks like they posted the notice, but not the file.

S3 refers to suspending the notebook (FN Suspend). When many inspirons with recent bioses resume from this state, the fans go to high gear and will not throttle back.*
*actually, they will throttle back if you ever get your CPU hot enough to where the fans would kick on high normally (hard to do with the fans maxed out but Prime95 can) and then let the temp drop -- doing so usually restores the normal fan profile. Pressing FN Z also restores the correct fan profile in some instances
