XPS L501X | JBL Speaker problem
I am facing trouble in my XLS L501X laptop, where my JBL speakers starts jarring while playing music or playing any video. I would like to know if anyone else faces any issues with JBL speakers on my configuration of laptop. Its like a huge vibrating metal sound that I get. I tried with all setting in Realtek by lowering the volume controls etc.. but problem seems to something other.
However, there is no sound problem exists and its clear when I attach external speakers and headphones.
Please help me get out of this..
Thanks

Hello. I have seen other posts about problems with the speakers on that model, so yes, other people have had issues. It could be that the woofer in your laptop requires servicing or replacement. You can get replacement speakers from the parts-people (Dell parts experts).
As for configuration issues, you can reset the configuration of the audio driver by re-installing it. You might want to check the equalizer in your media player and make sure the bass is not boosted too much.
Also you could run the audio tests in Dell 32-bit Diagnostics if you still have the tests. If you hear the distortion during that test then it is the hardware for sure. If you no longer have the Dell 32-bit Diagnostics, another definitive test for hardware is to perform a system recovery.
