XPS M1530 which screen resolution please

I am going to place an order for an XPS M1530 lapton and don't know which resolution to get for older eyes on a 15.4 widescreen laptop.

It comes with 1280 x 800, do I need 1440 x 900 or does that make the print smaller.

Thank you. Jenny

i do have 1200x800 and i must admit that reading long excel files is quite difficult. it mainly depends on what you're buying it for.

I'd suggest getting the higher resolution screen.

If text etc is too small at 1440 x 900 resolution, you can always lower it to 1280 x 800.

But you can't up the resolution, if you buy a screen which only supports the lower resolution ;)

Thank you all for your advice, I shall up the resolution.

I have made note of the DPI advice and where to look.

My new laptop will be for playing with Adobe Elements and reading world news, plus email.

Thanks again. This was a worry.

And you can choose to up the DPI to 120% or more which will make the text larger and readable. Look up DPI in Help for more.
