Keyboard Illumination

Your computer features keyboard illumination. It has several LEDs built into the LCD lid that project light onto the keyboard. By pressing the < ®> keys, you may cycle through the following keyboard illumination options:

  • Always On

  • Always Off

  • Auto Mode

In Auto Mode, the keyboard illumination LEDs automatically turn on or off, depending on the ambient light level.

. Display brightness (may vary depending on your system)
- Ambient Light Sensor: QuickSet provides an interface to customize Ambient Light Sensor settings for your computer.

i can't locate any such options.

Exactly what is it you're trying to do?

Do you just want to turn the keyboard illumination off, or turn all the lighting off completely?

If it's just the keyboard... Fn plus the right arrow key works for me?

If you want to turn all the lighting off... open QuickSet, and click on System > Gaming Options.

In the main screen of the new window which opens, there's a tick box under the right-hand vertical bar, which will allow you to 'Turn all LED's off' ;)

I am fairly sure this is not possible with the M1730 (even if the manual says so).
