Exchange 2010 and Storage compression

I recieved this question from a Account team and wanted to post it here to see what the community has to offer

Question: Is there any recommendation/white paper/advice we can rely on in order to provide an answer whether our VNX5300 solution will work with COMPRESSION on! I know, it depends...but I was unable to find any information why yes or why not and/or what we recommend. I'm looking for info in order to defend ourselves why one would or would not implement storage compression for Exchange 2010 on our VNX series.
