HYPER -V and VSS hardware provider on VNX
Hello,
We have not been able to is not able to successfully backup our hyper-v environment using Netbackup. The Windows admins have talked about using the VSS hardware provider on the EMC VNX to accomplish this. I have been doing some reading and I am a bit unclear on a few things. Where do the snapshot resides if the hardware provider is used? On the host, or the array? If so, are full clones needed?

VSS Provider is installed on Client Host.
Snapshots however, reside in Clariion. Make sure that your Clariion/VNX is configured for SNAPS

When using CSV´s, PLEX Snapshost (AKA CLones ) are not available, thus you must use snaps.
Make shure that you configure NetBackup accordingly.
