If the VNX is running OE 5.32 or higher, the provider will default to advanced VNX Snapshots. I'm not aware of a way to change this within the provider. The SCVMM get-scstoragearray poweshell command will display the "MaximumReplicasPerSourceSnapshot" property reported by the provider. If it reports 256, then the advanced VNX Snapshot capability was detected. If for some reason VNX Snaps are not properly detected, you may need to upgrade your SMI-S provider version.
