19' Ultra Sharp FPM. Cleaning screen.

Question

This is a really nice monitor. But no papers came with it as far as operation and cleaning care. Can you clean an LCD flat panel monitor with glass cleaner like a regular crt?

I have used a small amount ( dab) of clean water on a very soft cotton cloth on my LCD for many years with no problem. Just don't press on the screen very hard. Others go and buy a screen cleaner from the computer store. Do not use harsh glass cleaner chemicals on that screen

if the monitor came in a seperate box, you might have gotten a CD that contains a User's Guide. Otherwise, you might have an icon on your desktop for the User's Guides.   in there, you will find a section about maintenance under setting up your monitor.  If all else fails, it's available online at http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/monitors/E193FP/English/maintain.htm
